17 Months Later..

So it's 17months down the line from the day I walked into the office all bright eyed and bushy tailed. I have to say, it seems like yesterday. But when I begin to look back onto what I have achieved in that time and the opportunities and experiences I have had, it seems like a lifetime. From renovating an old building in Liverpool to attending conferences in London to wading through mud out on site. It’s all part of the experience. I was told at my assessment day ‘if the graduate scheme doesn’t fly by then were doing something wrong’ and boy were they right!!!

Following the completion of all of my rotations across the company I began to think about where I could see myself ending up.
Before I started with Redrow I always had it in my mind that I wanted to work in the land department, however being exposed to all the different roles within the company really does make you step back and consider your options – trust me there are so many to choose from!

I gave my future some serious thought and believe it or not seriously weighed up the potential of becoming a trainee site manager. The time that I spent on site during the two coldest months of the year was brilliant and an experience that I would repeat a thousand times over if I had the opportunity.

However, for now I will just have to look back on it as a fond memory.
I think deep down my heart belongs with the land department, so now I begin my final placement with the team here in the Southwest with the aim of continuing my role here after my graduate scheme.

Some of you may be wondering the point of this blog… to say always keep an open mind and you never know you might be pleasantly surprised!
